Poseidon is the Greek god of the sea, earthquakes, and horses. He is often depicted as a powerful, muscular man with a beard and a trident, a three-pronged spear that can control the oceans. Poseidon is often associated with the creation of horses.

The Statue and Base can be described as “exquisite” and “majestic,” weighing 5,000 pounds and sitting on a sturdy limestone covered base. Poseidon is the centerpiece in Phase 1 of the Reef.
